The Coalition of Labor Union Women is a nonpartisan organization within the union movement. The primary mission of CLUW is to unify all union women to promote affirmative action in the workplace, to strengthen the role of women in unions, to organize unorganized women, and to increase the involvement of women in the political and legislative process. CLUW has a strong network of more than 75 chapters, with members from 60 international and national unions across the United States and Canada.

CLUW's cervical cancer initiative aims to reduce cervical cancer rates and disparities among working women by promoting increased screening and annual follow-up for the 7.5 million union women and their families. The project is educating union members on the risk factors for cervical cancer and the critical need for regular screening to ensure early diagnosis and treatment. CLUW develops educational materials on HPV and cervical cancer targeted toward union women and maintains the Working Women's HPV and Cervical Cancer Resource Center on its Web site.
